1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 NO RESERVE!!!

1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 Description:

This is a Very Hard to Find Rust Free Survivor 1979 Mercury Cougar XR7 with Very Low Miles. 59,800 It was a 1 Family owned car before I purchased it. The car was stored for approx. 19 years in a Storage building. I brought it home and proceeded to get it cleaned up and in running order. I gave the 302 V8 a Full tune up including Spark Plugs, Wires, Cap and Rotor. I also Changed All Belts, Thermostat, Temp sending Unit, Oil and had the Carburetor Rebuilt. It also received a new Interstate Battery and Solenoid. Once I had it running on fresh gas from a can I replaced the Fuel Tank and Sending Unit as it had old gas in it. The Car now Runs and drives fine but could still use a little attention to brakes as the rotors have a slight wobble at higher speed. Tires are in great condition but Old. Air Conditioning is all intact but needs a recharge. Still on R12.
The Body, Frame and Floors of this car is Extremely Solid! There is a few dings and small dents but not bad at all for a 40 year old Car. There is also some Scratches in Paint of Hood and Trunklid where it was used as a shelf throughout the years I think. I have taken a few pics. As far as I can tell Car is All Original Paint and never been touched!
The Interior is also Very Nice and Untouched! The Dash is Excellent and crack free, Seats, Headliner and carpet also Great. Has Power Driver Seat and Factory Tach and Gauges. The only thing I see that has been changed is the Radio as it has an aftermarket Cassette player in it. It was installed correctly and not butchered.
In Summary this car is a time capsule and would make someone a great driver as is or would be an excellent easy candidate to restore back to new with little time or effort. It is very rare to find a car this age this clean and solid for being in Iowa its whole life!
