Up for sale is a complete1971 MERCURY COMET 302 COUPE.This clean example was purchased new by an enthusiast 33 years ago and then sat in repose when he was unable to drive. The original engine and transmission are still in the car and the pink slip is still pink! The body is in overall great condition aside from the trunk being broken into, which is easily repairable by any competent body man. Most of the bright work is present and in great condition. Great candidate for restoration or Sunday driver! Mercury Cometsin this unmolested state are very difficult, if not impossible to come by... especially with low mileage and no rust. This particular car is complete down to the original wheel covers! The body dons a respray in blue, whereas the original color was white.
