1962 Mercury Comet Custom Description:

Fairly decent car in unrestored condition. Interior is overall not too bad for it's age, but will need to be redone. The Front seat is missing most of the fabric on the driver's side, the back seat is all there. The headliner is there, but has come undone and is brittle. The door panels are pretty decent.
The car is pretty solid overall but the drivers-side floor board is weak and has a few pin holes. Also there is a small hole in the drivers-side rear quarter panel. Aside from that the car is solid. It does have a few grandma dings however and the rear quarter panels have some bondo in them due to what I assume was an old lady scraping her gate. The trim is all really good, however.
The engine has some blow-by but doesn't smoke out of the exhaust. It runs pretty good, but it does have over 100k on it. The transmission shifts good and was rebuilt at around 90k according to the warranty book in the glove box.
The car was parked from 1987 until June of 2017 when I got it back on the road again. It was my daily driver for several months and was overall pretty reliable.
It has a new radiator, heater core, water pump, battery, speaker, master cylinder, wheel cylinders,fuel pump, horn relay, rubber brake hoses, tank sending unit, rubber fuel lines, and a rebuilt generator and rebuilt carburetor. The radio works as does the vacuum wipers. All of the gauges and lights work too. Also has a new set of brake shoes in the trunk. Comes with original owner's manual.
Car runs and drives, but I'd recommend that you bring a trailer because it is 57 years old and is unrestored.
