1954 Mercury Monterey Polished stainless & chrome Description:

Both cars are in show condition but can be delightful daily drivers. They are both highly collectible cars. The 1941 Mercury Convertible came from an Arizona collection with an Arizona Clear title listing the present owner as the second private owner; the 1954 Mercury Convertible came from the Ramstad Collection and was in the Ramstad museum in Sacramento, California for many years after having a full detailed mechanical restoration and new beautiful repaint and re chrome of all the trim. They both have new engines; the 1941 has the final iteration of the beloved flat head (.080 over) was the 1953 Mercury engine dressed in Offenhauser polished, finned, high compression heads, Offenhauser intake manifold w/ twin Stromberg carburetors, Sanderson block hugger silver ceramic coated exhaust manifolds, tipped with twin Porter Exhaust. 6-12v conversion, large aluminum Be-Cool radiators on both cars, and Maradyne sucker fans keeps the engines cool. Both have Pertronix Electronic Ignition with flame thrower coils. The 1954 has a new 1957 Ford Thunderbird 312 CI engine dyno tested at 278.5 hp--dyno graphs available. The 1941 has a new GM Turbo-hydramatic 700R 4 speed plus overdrive and a 9" Ford differential. The 1941 has Wilwood complete braking...11" rotors, 4 piston Red calipers front and rear. The 1954 has front Viking Performance adjustable shocks, coil over springs and front Viking rotors and 4 piston calipers. The 1941 Mercury Convertible Heidts Superride front suspension,power Mustang II Rack and Pinon Power Steering, Heidts coil over adjustable shocks w/ Heidts front sway bar. Ride-Tech bars locate the rear axle. Both cars have brand new Diamond Back large white wall Radials. New Wilton English Wool carpets front and rear. Both cars underwent rotisserie stripping and painted after suspension mounts were welded in place. The 1954 enjoys a working original push button radio and the 1954 has a remote control under dash Sony radio-disc player.Both cars represent a true museum piece of automotive history.
