1968 Mercury Montego mx Description:

This is an original condition car with 45838 miles. It is Wimbledon White with the original black vinyl top and black vinyl interior. I am the second owner of this car, and I have owned it over 12 years. i have the original warranty and owners handbook that came with the car. I purchased it from the estate of the original owner in Feb 2005. At that time I went through the fuel system, cooling system, brake system and battery, and new muffler to put the car in running order. I rarely drove the car over my time of ownership and recently got it up and running again. The car runs and drives. This car has no rust-through but does show a small amount of stone chips behind the wheels on lower fenders and quarter panels in the paint surface, with typical dullness from sitting. It is a 302 V8 and I recently went through the two-barrel carburetor, replaced the thermostat and housing and new coolant. The C4 Transmission and brakes have been serviced and are in good order. It has factory power front disc brakes and factory power steering. The car came with factory AC all the components are there, the system would need serviced and recharged before using. This car is a survivor and shows average wear for the mileage. The paint is in original condition except for drivers door around door handle, there is slight checking in the paint. Looks like it might have been touched up at one time before my ownership. There is also an aftermarket rear speaker and FM converter mounted to the right of the steering column on the bottom of the dash. This was installed by the original owner and is in working condition. Engine and transmission are original to this car, all body panels are as the car came from the factory. Car is sold as is / where it is. I will need a $500.00 deposit at close of auction.
