1957 Mercury Commuter Description:

Very RARE 57 MercuryAmblewagon with 5470 orig miles (that's correct) 1 of 5 built and 1 of 3 left. Was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steelin the 80s and the story is they were going to dump it in one of the furnaces and melt it down but was saved by a worker, car has all the ambulanceparts including gurney. It has the 312 holley 4bbl with 255 HP and pertronix ign. added and 3spd manuel trans and runs and drives well,all brakes have been gone thru with new radial tires. Int. is good except headliner and carpet, and the body is what needs work, mainly the drivers rocker but overall the body is strait but do'esneed restored, has arust freetailgate added and this wagon is also easily returned to regular awagon.
