1977 Mercury Cougar XR7 Description:

For sale I have a 1977 Mercury Cougar. It is an older color change and has some chips and scratches. 40 years old- Not a show car but if you want nice condition big old V8 this is for you. Runs and drives 100%. Inspected through September. Clean PA title.
Ford 400ci V8 rebuilt in 2014 with an Edlebrock cam, performer intake and 4 barrel carb. B&R Speed Supply completely refurbished the heads at that time. Starts the first time every time. Complete smog delete- no egr, no air pump, no cats. True duals mandrel bent exhaust is older but solid.
C4 automatic transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit by the previous owner in 2010. Never beat on or drag raced.
The interior is all original but clean. All of the gauges (minus the analog clock) do work. Cruise control, remote mirrors, and original radio do work.
Comes with the older Cragar s/s wheels in the pictures that have nice Mickey Thompson tires. Also comes with the original hideous 70s wheels.
I've owned since 2012, I bought it from the original owner's grandson. It was undercoated when it was new- the body and floors are solid. Again, it's 40 years old- the chrome has some pitting and inside to the wheel wells have some rust but she is solid and runs like a top. Reasonable offers considered.
