1978 Mercedes-Benz 406 Unimog Description:
This Unimog is a true Unimog, unlike the American version SEE Tractors, which were also looking for versatility. This German version was designed for much more versatility.The backhoe is removed or replaced in minutes by one person with out tools.
Then the 3 way tipper bed is ready to dump to the rear or either side of the Mog.
Further versatility comes from the front Schmidt implement plate.
I have been cleaning some surface rust along the bed edges and inside of the supporting bed star.
All just surface rust, but needs completion as I didn't have time to get it cleaned to my standards.
All the usual cab rust spots are in excellent rust free shape.
The backhoe seat back needs replaced.
One set of dents onto of the grill, new, original Mercedes part to replace that section. Otherwise, dent and Rust free...

24 volt, with newer gel batteries.
New clutch master & slave cyl.& all rubber brake and clutch lines.
Front locker seal, Synthetic fluids
1400 hours.
