1969 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 280SL Description:
Beautiful 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL powered by its original/#’s matching and rebuilt 2.778 liter/170 h.p. in-line Bosch fuel injected 6-cylinder and backed by the matching 4-speed automatic transmission. Currently on its second owner who purchased the car 12 years ago and did a complete body on frame restoration less than 1000 miles ago.

The goal was to keep the car to its original condition and not do any current upgrades. Every nut, bolt, and screw were replaced. The transmission, suspension, rear differential, and interior were all re-done or re-upholstered. No bodywork was required. What you see is an accident free original white with the black soft top. The hardtop is included (see photos).
Some interesting facts about the W113 are weight saving body parts Mercedes-Benz added to the roadster for 1969. These include the hood, trunk lid, and door skins.
The paint is in excellent condition and there appears to be no rust showing anywhere. All of the interior gauge’s function normally, including the clock and ‘Fridgking’ A/C which is still using R12.

The radio is an Alpine CDA 9847 AM/FM/CD unit with box mounted speakers (which can easily be removed without any damage to the car) in the back. The original Becker radio (which does work) is included.
