Here is the chance to own one of the most beautiful roadsters that Mercedes-Benz ever made -1980 Mercedes Benz 450SL roadster! What makes this SL special is that 1980 is the last year of 450SL's before Mercedes went to less powerful 380SL in 1981.

Few vehicles are as distinctive and unique as the 107 chassis Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Although there are other vehicles that are instantly recognizable - the Gullwing Mercedes, the '57 Chevy, and the DeLorean to name a few - there is no other vehicle so classy, yet affordable as a 107 chassis Mercedes-Benz.

1971 was the first year of this body style, and R107 chassis of the 280,350,380,450 and 560SLs was one of the longest running production bodies in the Diamler-Benz AG's line. It is also the first V8 powered two-seater to be built at the Stuttgart, Germany factory.

Owning a Mercedes SL gives a person a real driving enjoyment and pride of ownership. When these cars were first manufactured, Mercedes-Benz adhered to construction methods that resulted in a standard that was the envy of the automotive industry. Every Mercedes-Benz model shared a build quality second to none.

About the car:

This SL was being stored in Florida vacation home and used sporadically when its owners were visiting their vacation home.

Its classic and elegant Signal Red paint has a beautiful shine and luster, and it makes this Beautiful German Roadster look stunning!! Upon closer inspection there are some minor paint blemishes but nothing that is taking away from the overall beauty of this car.

Body is very nice and straight, and Undercarriage is all original and unmolested!.

Interior is all complete, but for this SL to be in its fully glory, it will need to be refreshed.

Power windows are working as they should.

It comes with both Hard Top and Soft top. Soft top canvas is in good condition, but rear vinyl windows are cracked and will need to be replaced.

A/C is still original R-12 system, and it will need to be converted to the new 134 freon, and at the moment it is not working.

All in all it's a very nice and complete SL that can be enjoyed as it is, or with a little bit of TLC it can be taken to the next level as there is nothing better than driving down the road in your classic SL with the top down, and the wind in your hair!!!
