1987 Mercedes-Benz S-Class 420SEL Description:

Selling my 87 Mercedes 420 SEL, this is along wheelbase model I have lovingly named Janis. She's a great car, I originally purchased her a year ago with intentions of fully restoring to a daily driver. I drove her around 6k miles since I got her and she's been great. I have since decided to go with a C107 instead. I went looking for a W126 for about 6 months before I purchased this one. I went with her cause of the limited rust (one small spot on the passenger side C pillar, see attached photo). She doesn't need much to be 100%. The paint was redone by the previous owner due to fading. To my understand she has spent her whole life in Florida. Although I have not ran a carfax to confirm this. The issues are itemized below...
Radiator is leaking from a previous repair on the top.When cold the transmission slips from first to second, but once she warms up it's no issue.Universal Joints need to be replaced.Sunroof works but when it shuts it senses something and tries to reopen. I have pulled the fuse.Small spots on the paint shown in pictures.The AC is stuck on defrost, blows ice cold.Drivers window switch doesn't stay attached to the plate surround.
When I purchased it a year ago I had the brakes, struts, plugs, and fluids changed.
She is a great car and will serve it's new owner like a champ. She fires right up and idles with no issues.
