1972 MERCEDES 350SL RARE 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION.
This was a great running and driving car when it went into storage 3 years ago. I cleaned out the fuel tank and installed a new pump and filter. The engine started but a large white cloud of steam spewed from the tail pipe. The mechanic believes it to be a bad head gasket. The condition of the car has suffered from being in storage. The interior is dirty and dingy and need a thorough going over. The exterior has some scuffs and scrapes as well as a few rust spots but the paint still looks good. The dark brown soft top is in great shape with some stains on the back window. The odometer reads 125,000K which is only 78,000 original miles.There is some rust on the floors and trunk area and evidence of a previous repair.I have several other projects going at this time and want to let this one go to someone who has the time get it back in shape. This is a very rare car and will grow in value.
