Please read entire description as I've tried to fully explain all the highlights and flaws of the car.

1987 Mercedes 560SEL W126. 72,640 original miles verified by both Carfax and Autocheck. This car scored a very high 59 on Autocheck overall condition!

A clean and honest example of the Mercedes Benz flagship car of the period!

Car is finished in Midnight Blue and Gray interior.

Vehicle ownership history-

Originally purchased new from European Motors in San Francisco by the president of the Canton Bank who owned it until 1996, it was then sold to his assistant with 54,841 miles. It stayed with the second owner until 2018 and the title was transferred to her daughter as she could was unable to drive, the odometer showed 71,696 miles. I recently acquired the car with 72,450 miles. And today the odometer reads 72,560 miles.

CA title is "clean" in hand and in my name, as is a very recent CA smog inspection report that's valid for 90 days and both Carfax and Autocheck reports.

Condition overall-

Car presents extremely well for a 32 year old car, it shows light signs of use, starts, idles and drives great, like a low mile example should.

Exterior;

Original paint and no signs of any bodywork, all body panels are original to the car.

Although the paint is still shiny and has a very good gloss but it does show signs of the car being used, with only minor flaws as indicated below.

There are (2) dings on the car. One on the rear passenger door (pointed out in the last image) and one on the drivers side passenger door that is not even noticeable unless just the right angle is used to see it.

Tiny nicks/light surface scratches here and there and two spots that are visible, both noted below.

-Glass is good all over with no cracks/scratches

-Chrome is in good condition overall with only minor, light scratches here and there

Interior;

In excellent condition, free of odors, car has never been smoked in and the car shows it.

-ALL leather still soft and supple and shows no signs of any scuffs/tears or signs of heavy use.

-All dash/door/center console wood is excellent only showing extremely light surface scratching here and there that really aren't visible unless you look for them.

-All door panels in excellent condition

-Carpets are in very good condition as are the floor mats

-Headliner is in very good condition and shows no stains or tears

-Dash is 100% crack free

-All interior-covering materials throughout the interior is completely intact, no tears, or stains that are anything beyond light usage over the years.

Electronics;

-All power windows and switches work correctly

-Cruise control works correctly

-Sunroof works smoothly in both F/R and tilt positions

-All lights in working order

-Passenger power mirror in good working order

-All dash instruments in working order except for the analog dash clock which isn't working.

-Power antenna in good working order

-All door locks and are in good working order

Tires/Wheels;

-Wheels are original and present very well, no issues

-Tires are in very good condition, rears are Michelin and front are Sumitomo, all

4 have excellent tread.

Faults-

-Drivers door switch does not activate the interior lights

-Passenger door does not open all the way, this recently happened and I haven't had

time to look at it but I will before the car sells.

-Dash clock not working

-Non-original radio, Kenwood head unit installed and sounds great

-Scratch in drivers door (see images)

-Light scuffs on bumper plastic on both front and rear bumpers, no offensive and come with the age of the car.

-Paint imperfection on the drivers side very top corner of the hood, it's about 10mm in size.

-Small scratch in drivers' door, rear passenger 1/4 panel rear and on the outside A pillar (see images). THese are small and really don't distract from the overall appearence of the car.

-Very fine surface scratches on the hood, these will polish out but I'd prefer the next owner to attend to that as everyone has

their desired process and material options..

-2 dings on the car, both almost impossible to capture on camera.

-Front headlights have been converted to HID bulbs, this is causing the dash "light" warning to light up, when the original spec

bulbs are used this does not happen, there is some sort of resistance issue. I've left it alone as the lighting is much better with

the HID lights, original bulbs included and are boxed in the trunk.

Recent work within the last 500 miles;

New Interstate battery- rated for the car

Complete rebuild of rear seat recline motors, work perfectly

Valve cover gaskets

Fresh oil change

Transmission fluid flush, new filter/gasket

All new belts

A/C converted to R134

Both rear SLS accumulators

Local buyers are welcome and I encourage either a PPI (pre Purchase Inspection) of a physical test drive.

I will do my best to accommodate transit of the vehicle but shipping is at the buyers expense.
