1982 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Turbo Diesel Description:

Up for consideration is my 82' Diesel. I purchased this car in 2012 from a "garage". It was sitting in the corner w/ a cover on it and I asked the owner what was under the cover. He told me an old mercedes that doesn't run, I get to it when I can. I told him I would buy it from him and left him my number and within a few days we made a deal and I had it towed to my house. There were several problems at that time. Fuel Pump, Water Pump, Vacuum Pump, transmission was slipping, A/C didn't work etc. Over the years I have gone through and very much replaced everything I could to get this car back on the road. I have replaced all of those items, to include the transmission in 2018 at a cost of 4K. I have also replaced the entire front end suspension, cross members, bushings, shocks etc. I have replaced the stereo (didn't work either) with a Kenwood head unit, and JL Audio Speakers. A JL Audio 8W7 AE provides plenty of bass (fully adjustable w/ a knob) as well as JL Audio amps to all speakers. I have all receipts for maintenance on this vehicle since 2002. I am the 3rd owner, however, the gentlemen that owned the garage never actually drove the vehicle. The 1st owner simply gave him the vehicle as it was going to "cost" too much money to get it back road worthy. I would have no problem at all getting in this vehicle and driving it cross country. It cranks up each and every time the key is turned without issue. I get on average about 24 mpg up to 28 on the freeway on trips to Sacramento. If I were to keep it, and I may depending on how this listing goes, I would eventually refinish the wheels (these are original) as well as paint the car (paint is also original). The A/C blows cold. I had it changed from the original R12 to R134. Again, all receipts will go to the new owner. Must be picked up, or you can have it shipped if you would like. There is no cracks on the dash, no tears in the seats, headliner isn't sagging. No issues w/ the wood.
