This is an original Koening Specials 1985 Mercedes 500 SEC. VIN NUMBER:WDB1260441A110087.I bought this car 2 years ago from an owner, that owned it for over 15 years. The car was not running at the time when I purchased it. We have since got it running with many new parts. My mechanic is from Germanywith over 30 years of experience and quite familiarwith the Koening Specials. He went through this car and was quite amazed by the professional building of this KoenigMercedes. This car was built on the widebody style from the ground up. The car is equipped with lowered sport suspension, custom exhaust system, 3 piece custom chrome BBS wheels and performance engine & transmission setup.
My history with this carsince owning it. We concentrated on the engine first, with the replacement of ignition module unit, fuel distributor assembly & air mass sensor, warm up regulator, idlecontrol valve, fuel injectors, and major tune-up kit. We removed the gas tank and cleaned, replace some fuel lines and re-wired fuel pump assembly. We also have a brand new gas tank ( not installed). The car came with a pair of brand new Pirelli rear tires (not installed) Both included with sale. We removed the front spoiler to safely transport the vehicle and did not put back on, as we were preparedto paint it. ( front spoilerincluded) The car is running and very fast.
The body had some cracks along both sides, where the widebody is attached. Wedid minor prep work to the said cracks. The interior will need some attention. I am selling this car as I have too many projects to complete and need to liquidate some. Feel free to ask any question..
