Description:

1962 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

Up for sale is my 1962 Mercedes 220b Fintail . She is a RUST FREE survivor.I am the 3rd owner and comes with a clear title .Everything you see, except for a NEW dash pa, front fog lights ( not hooked up) and little bit of chrome ( I added ), is original. She is a rare fin, with a manual sun roof, ($358.00 option) and dealer added AC and rear shade . Repainted many years ag, I have decided to keep her original .She had about 114,000 miles on the original speedo, and I have put 10,000 or so miles on her since I put in the replacement.4 speed on the column. She has a ton of documentation form the original owner who cared for her in a meticulous manner. All service records written out in pencil. Gas mileag, repairs complete, ect.Perfect headlinerAC all there and turns on. Compressor works. Needs charged
Does she have bangs and bumps and a few dents ? Of Cours, but she is 56 years old and TURNS HEADS everywhere I take her .Certainly could be painted and with a little body work look new, but as they say they are only original once !The paint is tired, some primer showin, especially on drivers sid, but as I said NO RUSTI have owned her for several year, and is used just about as a daily driver .Engine - starts without issu, pulls strong and runs great . Always startsShifts wel, no slipServiceI have completed or items replaced since I have owned her :Engine mountsSteering damperShift BushingsCleaned fuel tank, new filter installedNew fuel pumpNew batteryAll new rubber brake linesRebuilt all brake cylindersRebuilt T50 brake booster ·New dash padNew shocks (4)All fluid renewe, including manual transNew plug, points and associated wiresValves adjustedBoth carburetors rebuiltNew brake master cylinderNew clutch master cylinderRefinished, renewed all dash woodNew tires ( including spare)Interior carpeting and sound battingWORKING (rebuilt) clockWORKING barber pole speedometer
