Contact | Website | Ebay Feedback This is a lovely little 240 D with a 4 speed manual transmission. The 240 runs and drives extremely well and is completely 100% rust free. This is a nice original car that still appears to bare it's original paint finish. The body is straight without any major dents. There are of course various dings, chips, fading, hazing and anything else you might expect from a 36 year old un-restored vehicle. However there is no rust, rust repair, blisters, or bubbles. The overall appearance is very attractive and the color (Capriblau#306-5306 )is beautiful.
The current odometer reading is not accurate so the car does not have 119,684, we believethe original dash cluster was broken replaced with the current one. The true miles are unknown. The mechanical, electrical and climate control systems all worked fine when tested. All gauges show normal and accurate readings. There are no major leaks or known mechanical issues. the car is fun to drive and handles the road nicely. The 4 speed manual transmission is very peppy and the car can get up and go. The clutch feels great and does not slip and shifting through all the gears is easy.The brakes stop the car well.
-Nice stock bundt wheels with good tread remaining on the tires-Good original and shiny chrome-Good glass with no major imperfections-Easy to operate and problem free manual roll up windows-Good rubber, trip and weather-strippingThe interior is respectable however there are imperfections on the dash, seats (top of rear), wood, door panels, headliner, etc (see pics).
This is by far not anywhere close to a perfect car. However it looks good and runs well! If you need solid-simple transportation with classic Mercedes Benz styling you will appreciate this 123 body car. It is built like a tank and the manual transmission makes this car fun and economical.
California buyers, or if you plan on picking up in California you will be responsible for full price of motor vehicle + tax, title, registration (current or past due, transfer, DMV and all other fees associated with the sale in California.
