1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC

1973 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series Description:

1973 450 SLC, car has1980s mono bloc AMG wheels. Car was originally Signal Red, had been repainted white when I purchased it about eight years ago. Good paint job, slight quarter sized blistering of paint ( not noticeable unlessyou look for it)over drivers side headlight. Rest of paint in very good condition. Original seats, new carpet, new shift console, old one had cracked.Dash has a molded cover, cracked (of course) underneath the molded cover. Also, once again of course, someone replaced the Becker radio with an aftermarket… Kenwood in this case. ( please stop doing that, people)

Power antenna does not work. Air conditioner inoperable, some parts remain, but I have not used it for the eight years I have owned it, and I don't know enough about these systems to say what it may need to operate.

The car runs strong and will operate at highway speeds all day. I have taken some five and six hundred mile rides with it.Very nice, solid feel ride. Sunroof and all windows work. Tires are at least eight years old, I have not replaced them. They do appear to have good tread on them, no cracking of sidewalls or anything. Car has been stored inside for the last eight years. I do not know what number owner I am, unfortunately.

The hardtop SLCs are a bit unusual to see, one reason I liked this one. Not much time to use it anymore, so maybe time for a new home and someone that can enjoy it more often.
