1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Sedan (W109)
DB 291 Dark Green exterior (original factory paint that has some chips and oxidation, but could polish nicely).
Interior in Cognac MB-Tex (strong and supportive, almost flawless seats), original carpets (old, but intact and presentable).
All the wood is aged and should be restored (wooden bow under the windshield is missing).
Dash has some cracks.
Headliner is like new.
Power windows (working).
Thermo King A/C (blows cold!).
Blaupunkt AM/FM radio with cassette.
Two previous owners.

The car starts right away, the engine is strong and powerful, there is never any smoke.
The floor-shifter 4-speed automatic transmission shifts properly.
Power steering works ok, but could use a flush.
Brakes are operating good.Another good right side license plate light, as well as the left rear bumper top chrome piece are included in the auction (left rear body area under the taillight has sustained some damage due to a minor fender-bender, see picture).
The car runs and drives excellent, it can be used immediately as a reliable daily-driver.However, as beautiful as it is, it does have some serious rust issues on the undercarriage that sooner or later will have to be dealt with (welding of new jack points, as well as both trunk wheel wells is required).
