1987 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series Description:

I have for sale a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 190D 2.5 Turbo. It runs and drives. It was my daily driver from 2014-2016. I bought it in April, 2014 with 285,000+ miles, and now it has over 304,000. Got me to Florida and back safely, so I would feel confident it can go anywhere.
Sadly, the time has come to sell this beautiful vehicle I have aptly named Rudolf after Rudolf Diesel, the inventor of the Diesel engine at the heart of this car.
Work I have done to this car includes:
-adding an original Becker 755 radio (it didn't have one when I bought it).-adding a working antenna to the car (the old one was destroyed and kept blowing the fuse on the radio).-adding new Bosch fuel filters, NOS Bosch injectors and hard lines.-installed a new Bosch battery in 2016, hard to find and pricy.-it has newer tires, installed in 2016 from Discount Tire. I will include the transferrable warranty from them.-installed all new brakes, front and back, and a new master cylinder.-Replaced both headlights, and have the wiper assemblies for them but never installed them-rewired the left front turn signal, it now works perfectly.-Replaced the badges in back. When I got it, it only had the Mercedes logo. Bought a used 190D and new 2.5 Turbo badge from the dealer, and applied them per specs I found in a service manual online.
And of course, kept up with oil changes religiously.
I also applied for and received the first high mileage award, and it is mounted in the grill. I have and will also include the box for it, including the letter and certificate.
As far as issues on this vehicle:
-Rust. It has it. This car has been a midwestern vehicle all it's life, and while I stored it in my garage, I did daily it even in the winter. There are rust spots all over the vehicle.-Driving back from Florida, in Georgia, a large piece of metal flew out from under a semi and struck the front of the car, breaking the right headlight, and putting a dent in the bumper and hood. I replaced both headlight modules off a 1993, but they are in rough shape. They work, but the right lens is broken in the corner. And I never did fix the blemish in the hood or bumper.-The antenna I installed was working perfectly, but now it only goes up about half way. I never did install the rubber seals it need either.-The AC is not functioning. Never got around to fixing it, even for Florida. I know it takes R12, but I think it has to do with the vacuum seals in the dash, and never wanted to take the dash apart. It blows cold in the center vents, and hot in the outer vents, a common issue with these cars.-cruise control doesn't work. I had the module on the Passanger side sent off to a guy in Toledo to repair it, and it did work for a month, but then the stalk broke. It will need a new one and the airbag/steering wheel removed.-the temperature gauge LCD is black, another common issue with these cars. It will need to be replaced.-The fuel gauge never reads full. I attempted to clean the float, but that didn't fix it, might need a new one. Even filling it up to the top of the neck, it only reads about 3/4 full.-the hood pad has disintegrated over time, and it will need a new one.-The hood ornament broke off, but it is included. Will most likely need a new one, I attempted to glue it back in.-The climate control wheel is missing the numbers. I have another one of these modules somewhere and if I find it I will include it.-It is missing the spare tire. Fortunately, these cars had a full size spare, so you would just need to find another alloy wheel and get a tire for it.
I have a clean Michigan title, and will be transferring that to the new owner.
There are 2 keys included, one is a copy which operates the doors and ignition, and the other is a Mercedes original key which only operates the ignition.
Included with the car are a complete set of manuals, the box and papers from the 250,000km high mileage award, a container of fuses and bulbs, a Christmas wreath that wraps around the emblem, and a unused original first aid kit. I will also throw in a couple bottles of Diesel Kleen, and a 5 gallon yellow diesel fuel can.
