For sale is a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. Final, and arguably the best and most desirable, year of the R107 Series. The car is fantastic. Probably one of the nicest R107's that I have seen regardless of mileage.5.6L V8, automatic. Pearl Black metallic with Both hardtop and softop in like new condition. Clean CarFax and clear Colorado title in my name.
California car for the majority of its life with original Window Sticker ($68k in 1989) and meticulous maintenance records since new. Immaculate condition throughout. Pearl Black exterior in exceptional condition. Brilliant shine. No dents or blemishes in paint or chrome. Hardtop is perfect. Softop is German canvas and looks original OEM.Comes with convertible top windscreen to alleviate buffeting and hardtop storage carrier.
Interior is immaculate as well. No rips, tears or wear in seating areas. No cracks in original dash. Headliner in hardtop is like new condition. Carpeting and mats are very nice. Upgraded Kenwood stereo with USB, Pandora, etc.
Underside is very, very clean (CA car) with no rust at all. I would put this car up against any other R107 regardless of miles. It is that nice.
Car runs and drives extremely well. Oil pressure, Temperature run to specification. Fuel gauge, clock work well.No leaks in engine or drivetrain. Exhaust and catalytic converter in very good condition. Passed Colorado emissions no problem. I have take this car up in the mountains for several 3 hour one way trips and it performs and handles beautifully. Engine starts right up and runs strong. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere for any distance.
Don't let the miles fool you. This car is immaculate and mechanically excellent. The maintenance records on this are impeccable and very detailed in two binders. The key maintenance items have been addressed during prior ownership (replaced valve guides, timing chain, etc).
The car had Centra chrome wheels when I purchased it but I have replaced with OEM look R107 Wheels and Pirelli tires.
The only needs that I am aware of are:- AC has not been re-charged. I have not used it.- Outer vents work but center vents do not change with console switch.
