The 220S (Ponton) Mercedes was one of the great post war models, and was known to be a very reliable car.
This particular car has been lightly used on weekends in dry weather. Runs very well (spent over $7,000 over the past 4 years on the engine, including new valves and other misc. tuning with local Mercedes-Benz experts).
Transmission is a four-speed column-shift manual. Chassis is good condition. Tires are white walls mounted on stock rims with matching hubcaps. Car was restored in early 2000s, with new paint (light blue), upholstery (red leather), etc., and has been lightly used since - so it presents well. Wooden dash and wood trim in overall good condition. Becker radio. Original switches and knobs. Most gauges and lights work (not fuel gauge or clock). Exterior: body very solid. Paint is overall very clean. Chrome, lights, and reflectors in good condition.
