1967 Lincoln Continental V8 Convertible Classic Collector Description:
This 1967 Lincoln Continental convertible is not only iconic & elegant, but it is the last of it'skind--the final model year in which Lincoln offered a convertible. For '67, the Continental was,in fact, the only four-door convertible built in America. The car was a pretty big deal--and bigdeal, we mean really big; 126"wheelbase, nearly 18.5' long for bumper to bumper, over 6.5'wide, and weighing a whopping 5,712 pounds. While the Continental's most recognizable attribute isits forward-opening (suicide) rear doors, the car also features a fully automatic convertible topthat disappears into the rear deck lid. This 50 year old classic was once part of an extensivenorthern Michigan collection & has been with its current owner for more than 30 years. Duringthat time it has received touch-up paint & reinforced frame. The canvas top was replaced 2years ago along with minor repairs to the leather in the back seat, & electric windows wererepaired/replaced 3 years ago, & the car received new hubcaps 3 years ago. This car'sshowroom base cost was $6,449 &adjusting for inflation, that's about $47,325. in today'seconomy. A total of 2,276 were built. Call Gil Rupp at 231-883-7270 for appointment.
