NO RESERVE! Rare 1978 Lincoln Continental Truck Mark V “Coloma” by Caribou Motor Company
Rare 1978 Lincoln Continental Truck Mark V “Coloma” produced by the Caribou Motor Company in San Francisco. Super rare. Only 12 ever made and who knows how many still exist. Only one I have seen in the rare Silver Metallic paint and burgundyinterior. Designed for the very wealthy who wanted a place for their golf clubs while Country Club hopping. Overall, this is a very nice, all original car. Car starts up and idles nicely. Has been sitting for a few years and will need to be gone through before making it a driver. Shows 33,404 miles and based on its condition and the rubber on the pedals seems to be original but no way to guarantee that.
Comes with a clean California title. Currently on Non-Op so no back fees.
The car is powered by a 400in V8, power steering, brakes, seats, windows, cruise control, a/c, tilt wheel, am/fm stereo, 4 wheel disc brakes. I did a tune-up, including new spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, air filter, breather element, oil change and filter. Car starts and idles.Exterior- Body and paint is all original and still shows pretty nice considering its age. Paint still has some shine and looks good from a few feet away but up close has imperfections to be expected for a 41 year old car. A few spider cracks in the fiberglass on the conversion as seen in the pictures. Bed is very nice. No rust on body or undercarriage. Chrome is still in good condition and shines up really nicely.
Interior- Interior is very nice for its age. Leather is really nice. Carpet is really nice. Dash is perfect and comes with a dash mat. Gauges and panels are in clean condition.
Mechanical- Engine starts and idles nicely. Powerful 400 inch V8 motor. Automatic transmission shifts through the gears. Brakes were recently redone and gone through and brakes really good. Tailgate is in working condition. Headlights work.
Needs- -Headliner- All parts are there but needs the fabric. Metal has surface rust and needs to be treated.-Power seats- currently not working. Have not diagnosed -Tires are older and will need to be replaced. They do hold air. -Paint has some issues. Could be cut and buffed or repainted.-Exterior roof vinyl has cracks in it.
