1937 Lincoln zephyr

1937 Lincoln MKZ/Zephyr Description:

For your consideration, a 37 coupe. Been building the coupe for about 6 years now and may complete if it doesn't sell. The interior is what's left to complete. It has a 41 Lincoln V12 with aluminum heads and aluminum intake that have been polished. Motor was rebuilt by a professional shop but did not do a very good job, unfortunately when the car is running the motor has low oil pressure. When the motor is revved up the oil pressure comes up to about 20 lb but when its sitting and idling the oil pressure drops to about 3 lb. So we got a bad rebuild. The body was beautiful and straight when we bought it so there was no body work that need to be done when we painted it black. It was a street rod from the 80's and was the color teal. I collected stock parts for it to give it it's stock feel but kept that sleek feel. The bumpers are smooth with the bolts weld on the inside. The grill with it's trim and tail lights, i collected from Hemmings motor news. The seat came with the car but i had to rebuild it and have the bars re-chromed. The steering column is a stock column. We took a 49 Lincoln bell housing and weld it to the 37 column so you can put 50's steering wheel on it of your choice. It currently has a 49 Lincoln steering wheel. We are planning to put a cream cloth interior to match the steering column and wheel. The skirt's are stock with the holes reversed on the inside. A mustang gas tank has been added and the rear framework is step notched with air bags. No air bags in the front. The front suspension is mustang. The rear end is a mustang 8" that need four 4:11 put in it. Will do if nobody buys. Right now the gear ratio is 3:08 and it's super slow out of the hole. It has a chevy 5 speed manual transmission. The radiator is stock . We took the stock door panel's and took the stainless trim, arm rest, saved it and will be applying it to a new door panel's. The windows are electric one piece and the door handles are shaved. The hub caps are 57 caddy preproduction's. Have original 57's but not on car. The dome light up in the headliner is stock. Have the original rear view mirror. Just needs to be screwed in. Buyer is in charge of getting it home. Bank transactions only. Firm on price. Happy to answer any questions that need to get answered.
