1956 Lincoln Continental Mark ii

1956 Lincoln Continental Description:

My grandfather gave me this car about 25 years ago. It has been stored in Colorado ever since. I replaced water pump and fuel pump this Spring and she started right up. Spent several months and five visits to the DMV but got the title! Would love to keep but have no time nor space to do full restoration.
This car is SOLID. It has been repainted once as far as I can tell and the 64k miles appear to be original. As is the color. It is the perfect vehicle for a full restoration or a daily driver with some wrenching.
Motor and trans are strong!
Factory Air Conditioning
Speedo, Tach, and Clock work.
Power seat works.
Glass is all solid, no cracks.
4 main power windows work but not all of the switches do. Vent windows do not open. However I believe it is a wiring/switch issue.
Lost keys so have a replacement switch installed....but all lock cylinders are in place. Picked the trunk to open it.I bypassed some of the original heater core plumbing with new rubber (see pics) to get it running. All original brass plumbing included.Old water and fuel pumps with car.Comes with miscellaneous brake cylinder parts.
Gas filler tube disintegrated so using level float access from trunk to fill her up.
Upholstery all intact except for one door panel...torn low front.
Have original jack and trunk items.
Comes with Grandpa's receipts, shop manuals, and other documentation.
Clean Colorado title in my name.
The brakes need work...but work if you pump them up ;)
The carb needs a rebuild as it acts like it has a sticky float.
There is some rust but all the pans are solid as is the frame.
I have all trim pieces that are missing in the photos, except for the hood ornament.
Does not have original radio.
This is one of about 1500 left from two production years (56, 57) totaling roughly 5000 cars. For more information, google the Mark II. They are all basically the same.
