This is a 1990 Land Rover Defender 110 that was frame-off restored by Pon Steyn 4x4 in South Africa. This example was also outfitted with a powerful General Motors V8 LS3 Corvette Engine and a 6-speed Automatic transmission.
The combination of the powerful engine with a smooth transmission, makes this Defender a pleasure to drive around town and on the highway where it feels comfortable with power to spare.
As mentioned, the LS3 is a very powerful engine, especially for a naturally aspirated engine at the time of its introduction. From the initial offering in the Corvette, this engine could be purchased in a package capable of outputting 430 horsepower at 5900 RPM and 424 lb-ft at 4600 RPM.
The interior is outfitted with high quality leather throughout, and an Alpine infotainment system that is Apple Car Play ready.
