I've dealt with all of the shipping and customs paperwork. If you're looking at this thing you know what a pain that can be. I've paid to get it across the pond so you don't have to deal with the headache.
The drive train works flawlessly. No death wobble, the transmission is smooth, the differential makes no noise, and the axles are solid. The tires look brand new, and the rims are in fantastic shape. For a 33 year old chassis I'm not seeing any rot on the outside. The firewall needs some TLC and the floor boards have been replaced so you won't feel like Fred Flintstone.
The bad...
Its time for a new engine. It currently has the 200tdi under the hood and its hot garbage. Again, if you've done any Defender research you know this already. Its still running strong for a 200, but I've got a boatload of blow by right now. Advance Adapters sells a kit that adapts an LS to the Defender 5 speed. Which this thing has. I've got a conscience so I had to post something.
I'm about to get chained to a mortgage so I just don't have money to build a new home and invest in this monster (wells cost a lot of nickels) so I'm just looking to get out of it what I've got invested into it.
