Short and punchy, the Land Rover 88's compact chassis made it perfect for navigating rough terrain. With ample cargo room in the rear, the 88 carried a few passengers wherever the trail would take them. This Land Rover Santana 88 was imported from Spain in and has been licensed and titled in the U.S.

Driveline. This truck retains its original 2.25L four-cylinder inline diesel. Mated to a five-speed transmission and high-low transfer case, it helps move the truck damn-near anywhere on the planet Our time behind the wheel reveals a transmission easily engaged and drama free, and an eager motor with bountiful torque on tap.

Exterior. The body presents well for a 1985 in a nice green color. The frame is in superb condition along with door bottoms and thresholds. The roof is is great condition.

Interior. Clean and original, with slightly bent top seat support bar on the passenger side. Footwells and floor are show typical wear and tear and with very limited rust.

Reason for Selling: I have two Land Rover Santana's and only time for a complete restoration on one. My appetite was larger than my available time. Having driven Land Rovers in Africa and Europe in addition to importing the traditional English Defenders to the U.S. I have come to really enjoy the Santana version. Parts a 99% Land Rover (despite what you may hear) and are readily available. The native left hand drive is awesome and the Santana dash is an improvement over a traditional Land Rover 90. I have zero problems or issue with the parabolic springs.
