1980 Land Rover Defender Description:
Trucks a 1988 year model not a 1980. Ebay does not recognize the VIN.Currently located in Wake Forest NC but, ready to drive across the country!Titled in North Carolina.
Bought in England, lightly restored in Ireland, legally imported by a professional.This is a very rare former fire department surf rescue vehicle...therefore it only has 81,000 original miles and it drives like it! Have tons of before and after photos!
I've driven the truck without any problems about a 1000 miles since it arrived.Starts up almost instantly on the coldest day. SU carbs tuned perfectly. Steering feels like an 80,000 mile truck! Drove it 8 hours from Raleigh NC to Roanoke VA recently!
Truck has new paint, new doors, new clutch, new transmission. Needs new rear brake pads and the heater blower motor is not working. Rear half of the headliner is missing. Undercarriage needs paint as well but, you can see there is no rust and nothing has been covered up. Rear canvas hood included.
Test drive and pre-purchase inspection are welcome and highly encouraged. If you set up and pay for the inspection I will deliver the truck to the mechanic.
