1993 Land Rover Defender 110 Description:

I purchased this two-owner vehicle in March 2014 and started the frame-off restoration process. The vehicle spent most of its life in Rhode Island and as such had some rust issues. The bulkhead had two rusted areas and the door bottoms had issues. After stripping the vehicle to the frame, parts were tagged and either restored or replaced. The frame was sent off to have a few minor issues repaired and then hot-dipped galvanized and coated with epoxy. The axles were gone through and brakes and calipers replaced. New stainless brake and fuel lines were sourced along with black "Boost" style wheels (original wheels and tires are also included) and Dakar tires. The Dakar tire is a UK tire that has the original BFG mud-terrain tread. I found a new proper bulkhead (the vents are not cut-out on the NAS 110) and had it and new galvanized doors shipped in from the UK. The rest of the body was completely disassembled and blasted with glass beads (this prevents warping) before all properly treated and painted the original Alpine White. The external roll-cage (and other body parts) were sent off to be blasted and powder coated black. I installed new stainless hardware, door handles, emblems, front bumper (I deleted the bumper lights, but have them available), grill, headlights (xenon), headlight surrounds, front and rear marker lights, all new gaskets, shocks, springs, fender/hood cheque plates, and bushings. The engine was sent to Cannibal V8 in Oklahoma City for a +/-$10,000 bore to 4.6L, balance, blueprint and rebuild. This was fitted to a new exhaust system and new engine mounts. The interior was in great shape, so I opted to keep the original seats (it has the four jump seats in the rear) and door cards (updated rear door card was installed). I did replace the headliner with new vinyl and sourced the correct molded carpet set from the UK. I am only the second real owner (there was a dealer between the original owner and me) and the vehicle has a clean carfax that I can send and has original, documented 64,000 miles. I didn't find any evidence that the vehicle had ever been off-road. I do have minor interior work to finish the vehicle and will post additional pictures soon, but can finish the vehicle within a week for a serious buyer. This vehicle will need nothing (it looks like a brand-new one) and is one of the finest, low mileage, unmolested examples of a NAS 110 in the country. The price is firm is $139,900.
