Revised: I have loaded some better pictures based upon feedback that the previous ones, which I took with my phone, were not very good. Hopefully, these new ones will give you a better perspective of the condition of the vehicle. Please note that the last picture in the group is of the A/C kit and other miscellaneous parts which will be included with the sale. I have included the original speedometer cluster so you can see the original odometer which reads 201,660 miles. The newly installed shows 2,081 miles. The actual miles is the sum of the two combined if the original was accurate - which I can't attest to as it wasn't working when I bought it. Some other tidbits for consideration: LED head and tail lights, wiper delay switch. There is also a tiny microphone adjacent to the driver's sun visor (left edge) which will enable you to talk on your phone hands-free (connect your phone through the radio via bluetooth). I have also added a floor speaker on the transmission tunnel which really sounds nice and is much more enjoyable than the stock ones that were behind the dash panel. Other add-ons are the 3rd tail light (also LED and located in the spare tire's center hub), and a split transfer case which will allow you to shift the front and rear independent (in the event you lose a driveline).
Original Posting:Up for sale is my 1982 CJ8 Scrambler with 2" lift. It has gone through a significant resto-mod since I acquired it in 2012: new galvanized chassis, new suspension, AX15 5-speed manual Transmission, refurbished Dana 300 transfer case, new drivelines, new carpet, new headliner, new gauges, new Kenwood radio with bluetooth capability, delay wiper capability installed. The 5.3L V8 Gen 3 engine had 27k miles on it when pulled out of a 2006 1500LT (purchased from Novak). It has a new aluminum radiator and electric fan. Paint is about a 10 footer. Looks good overall, but not show condition by any means. I have put in a new speedometer cluster and have driven it about 1700 miles from Seattle to Phoenix since installation. When I purchased the vehicle, it had a little over 202K miles on it per the original odometer, but I can't guarantee that mileage as nothing worked on it when I purchased it. The vehicle does not have air conditioning hooked up; however, I have the kit and will include it with the sale along with documentation and directions for installation.There is also a new exhaust system with nice sounding headers (not too loud, but it has presence)! Engine sounds great and it drives and handles surprisingly well. The brakes are stock (disk front/drum rear). I have invested well over $28K in this vehicle and am expecting to take a loss on this sell as characterized by the opening bid and low reserve. I am selling this vehicle as I have another rebuild project (1975 Trans AM) and need the space and funds to complete it.
The vehicle is sold as is and is also being listed locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early if a local purchase is achieved. Local pickup only.
