1966 Jeep Other None Description:

This truck catches plenty of attention and I've driven it through five states. Had the engine rebuilt 14 months ago, thus, low mileage. Was driving it last week, full from recent oil change, newer radiator full of 50/50, heard a knocking sound and it shut off. Mechanic says he thinks it's from the engine. Paid $1600.00 for the rebuild and he will not warrant it. Sadly, it has made me loose faith in a so called, "great mechanic". I have never driven this truck fast and typically stay under the speed limit while others pass me by. So, with that being said: THE GOOD: 60,000 mile Michilen tires with plenty of thread, Interstate battery, newer master cylinder, brand new starter that was purchased last week, newer radiator, newer clutch (6 months old), brake work, wipers work, horn works. Newer front windshield, all others are original. Side windows and handles need adjusting, brand new rocker panels go with truck, and other new parts. The dash is complete with ash tray, glove box and all gauges work. THE BAD: The rocker panels are rusted and there is work to be done on the cab facing the front wheels, odometer, speedometer and gas gauge do not work (used GPS for mileage), Was going to buy a larger gas tank but never did. Inside door panels are gone, interior roof is not padded or covered, seat is usable but needs recovering. There is patina of blue and black and of course, without it being restored, has character all around it.
