This is an un-restored vehicle with just over 6,000 original miles on it (note the original tires). We believe this to be one of the rarest surviving jeeps available. We have the entire documented history and contacts of the original family owner. Justjeepsters has had this vehicle for several years as part of our private collection of authentic Jeepsters. We know every detail about it. It is still like it was new. From the time you get in it you will feel yourself stepping back in in time in a way I cannot describe.
Please note that what appears to a tear in the carpet around the gas pedal is not where your foot rest nor is it from wear – it was actually cut this way when installed. It is from the floor mounted pre-1970 pedestal. If you look closely, there is a small metal platform welded on the floor. However, they did not start putting the pedestal mounted gas pedal in until early 70. This is a 1967 and being the first year, they just cut the carpet in order to get the carpet to fit around the pedestal.
This jeepster is the first of the 67-71 jeepster commando series.
This jeepster was bought new by Al Hoffer of Hoffer/Morton Jeep in IL.It was his personal jeep and was rarely driven. It was stored up until 2013.This jeep is possibly the rarest jeep of all.It is the first and only 4-wheel drive convertible made by Kaiser Jeep. The jeepster runs like new.It has been gone over by justjeepsters shop with careful attention to not disrupt its original nature.
