1987 Jeep Wagoneer Description:

LOW RESERVE! This full-sized Jeep drives like a charm. So good, that she quickly got taken as my daughter's favorite ride. This is the original luxury SUV. Try finding another with this low a mileage. Under 92,000 original miles. Starts well in hot or freezing weather. She purrs at idle and sounds great when you give her some gas. Pick up and acceleration is immediate and smooth through each gear. Drives straight and stops well. The four-wheel drive works great in the snow. Besides regular oil changes, here are a list of major maintenance I've had done by myself or my mechanic:

New Ignition Coil

New Plugs

New Distributer

New Plug Leads

New Fuel Pump

The interior is in great shape for her age. Some minor aging on the seats. A small split in the seam of the driver's seat (see photo) and a couple of very minor nicks that are difficult to spot in a couple of places. Other than that, the interior is clean and together. The roof liner is in great shape. AC does not blow cold. It's the one thing I didn't ever look at. When it's hot out, everyone always wanted to drive in the Wagoneer with all the windows fully down - like a convertible. In the winter the heater blows very hot. All side windows are fully operational. The frame on the driver's quarter window is rusted. Power locks are operational but tired. Power Seats, wipers, cruise control and everything else on the car operates as it should except for the rear window. It goes up and down. It has a problem with lifting and lowering while staying in alignment. A rear window lift kit is available on the market.

The exterior is in great shape for a car of this age. Looks fantastic from 10ft and more. Brings a lot of attention, camera's, comments, waves and smiles. Up close you will see that the paint is showing signs of age. Some leathering in the clear coat and a couple of places where the clear coat pealed off. All but one spot is hardly noticeable. The main area where the clear coat pealed away is on the hood. About 5 inches across (see photos). There is a dent in the rear driver side door (see photos). The impact was not hard or fast and did no real damage to the interior. A learner driver turned into me from a standing start. She couldn't find the brake! All in all, this car looks great. The body is absolutely straight, other than the door as mentioned. There is no significant rust that I am aware of. If I was keeping her, I would invest in new weather stripping. Get used to being photographed.

I've done my best to point out everything I can about the car. Let me know if you have questions.
