1959 Jaguar Mark II Description:

Up for auction is a 1959 Jaguar Mark II in very restorable condition.
History:I found this Jaguar MK 2 in Louisville Ky in a dilapidated garage. The previous owner was a master mechanic and ran a very successful repair shop for over 20 years. Unfortunately, Charlie lost his fight with cancer in 2014 but before he passed away he did a lot of quality work to the car. I purchased the Jaguar Mark II from Charlie's very nice widow and hauled the car back to my garage.
Mechanical:Overall the car is in good condition for its age. The car ran and drove before Charlie began the restoration back in 2014. It looks like the car has been re-wired, the engine is complete, and the transmission is intact. I have NOT tried to start the car but I did drop the oil and the oil looked great.
Body:The body is in overall good condition but is not perfect. The body is straight and the car has never been in a wreck. The car does have a few rust spots but nothing serious. In fact, the undercarriage looks great. No rust on the frame (see pics). I also have all of the chrome trim pieces for the car.
Interior:The car is going to need interior work. I have most of the interior trim pieces and the wood is in good condition. I could not find the seats but do have the door panels and a lot of the the interior parts including the radio.
Extra Parts:The auction includes a new exhaust, gas tank, brake calipers and rubber window gaskets. Please take a minute and examine the photos. I did my best to photograph everything that is included in the auction.
Conclusion:Great car that needs some attention. I have no idea what it is worth so this is an absolute action. Good luck and feel ping me with questions.
