This car was recently purchased from an Arizona Jaguar collector who owned this car for some time, but never got around to restoring it. It comes mostly complete but may need a few items. This car appears very original and mostly untouched, never having been restored, in it's original color of Light Blue with Navy blue interior, a pleasing color scheme on this closed car.The body on this car looks very decent with no evidence of any accidents, having nice fitting panels. The bonnet is excellent save for some minor dings on the lower valance. The doors and trunk hatch fit well. There is some repairable rust under the driver's side seat area and some bubbling in the lower driver's door. Besides that, the car looks solid having been a Western States car all of it's life. The front subframes appear very nice and straight.The car's interior needs a full restoration but appears mostly complete, except for comsumables. The car is missing some glass which is now easily available. The car's dashboard is complete and very original with also the factory air conditioning setup, original wood steering wheel. This car also features a heated rear glass, a rare option.The car's engine needs rebuilding, as someone has already attempted a disassembly. The drivetrain has been fitted in the car for shipping purposes. The gearbox and engine number are both noted as correct E-type components for this model. There are several additional boxes of related parts shown in the listing that come with the vehicle.Overall, a sensibly priced, desirable and pretty E-type Series 2 Coupe in a very nice color scheme. The body on this car is quite good overall and will save the new owner plenty, come restoration time. This model is currently great value when compared to it's Series One siblings, and makes perfect sense as a good candidate for restoration going forward.
