1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Description:

1969 Jaguar XKEUp for auction is my signal red Jaguar 2+2 coupe. I have owned this car since 2011. As you can see from the pictures, it shows very well. It looks even better in person. Lighting for the pictures was not great... I have gone through almost everything on this car, over the last 7 years. It has had one repaint in the original color and it is in great condition. Interior was just finished. Dynamat material was applied under the carpet pad. Absolutely no rustis found on this car, inside or outside! No evidence of damage found during the repaint or upholstery.I purchased the car with the salvaged title. I was told that it was a theft recovery. It was found on blocks in someone's garage in the Bay Area, with the wheels, seats and misc. engine parts missing. The insurance company paid out on the claim and then it was found. There is absolutely no other damage to the vehicle. It was fitted with new wheels and the engine was replaced with a healthy 1969 Ford Mustang 302 V8. The CA legal engine swap was performed professionally and actually registered with the Bureau of Automotive Repair (see door tag). The motor is high compression and requires premium gas. Not sure of any other specifics on the internals. Sounds and runs amazing. It has the 3 speed auto transmission from the same year Ford Mustang.Total repaint is approx. 5 years old and has only a few small driver flaws visible up close. The interior is custom and brand new. New insulation and carpet as well. The headliner and sun visors were not replaced and are in great shape. The front seats are retrofitted from a Mazda Miata. Very comfortable and look like they belong. I also installed new, modern 3 point retractable seat belts. The steering wheel was in perfect shape, but I had it recovered and custom stitched along with the interior.Tires are also brand new. Has all new shocks, front brakes and new front rotors, new tie rods, new steering rack boots, brand new 3 row aluminum radiator and hoses, new thermostat, new regulator, new battery (6/18), wrapped headers, glass pack exhaust, 16in. thermostatic controlled elec. radiator fan, brand new California legal window tint.This car is very quick and can get you into trouble if you are not careful. Runs great and tracks down the road perfectly. I have driven it on many, many trips over the years, over long distances and in the mountains, etc. The ford motor is extremely reliable and has never once let me down. The new seats allow big guys to fit in the car with ease. The new radiator is amazing efficient and it runs extremely cool, even at over 100 degrees (last month). All glass is in great condition. All gauges work, except for the tachometer. Wipers work. Heater works, no A/C or stereo. The stock clock was not working, so I replaced it with a small tachometer. Speedometer is about 5-7 mph fast.Passenger door has to be opened from the inside.Interior dome light is not working, have not tried to fix...Included are a few parts and the orig. seat belts, clock, etc. Title is in my name at my address in West Sacramento, CA.
