1967 Scout 800, Factory V8, RARE Fold Down Windshield, Minimal Rust, Original

1967 International Harvester Scout Description:

For sale is my highly original 1967 Scout 800 with no reserve.

First and foremost, I am selling this Scout as a project with a bill of sale only. It has not been titled in 30+ years. You can apply for a bonded title if you wish or use it for off road use only. VIN is 100% clean.
Key components missing are top, doors, and rear drive shaft. It was flat towed into a barn a long time ago and the drive shaft was misplaced.
This would be a great Scout to combine with one that you already own. While the folding windshield is common among Scout 80s, its a very rare option in the 800 body style. Combine that with a factory V8 (IH 266), and original color of Aspen Green Metallic, you have a Scout worth restoring.
Another bonus with this Scout is it has VERY little rust in it. Inner wheel wells, rockers, common Scout rust areas are in very good condition. This Scout has never been painted, cut or welded on. The body bushings will need to be replaced. The body has settled some. The front floor on the passenger side has very minor rust (pictured), one small area on driver's side quarter where the gas tank compartment is (and holds dirt), one small spot on passenger side rear wheel well, one dot on top of the hood, and small spots at top of kick panels where the vents are.

As far as originality goes, nothing has been tampered with or modified. The distributor cap is IH branded, it has the original IH key, and the original front IH branded hubs are also present.
I've pulled the spark plugs and they were all in good shape with no water in the cylinders. I put a new starter in it, turned the key and it cranked right over. I feel it will not take much to get the engine to fire. The oil is old, but clean with no fuel or water contamination.
Attached is the Line Setting Ticket, aka "Build Sheet" from International Harvester for this Scout. You can see how this Scout came equipped when new, including the fold down windshield.
