We have for sale a beautiful old IHC KB5 truck. I was lucky enough to be able to recently purchase this from a local owner's estate, and give someone else a chance to own it.
This truck has spent most of its life here in central Kansas, and as you can tell, it has been well cared for. You don't see these old farm trucks this straight and this clean very often. The previous owner took a lot of pride in it, and had fixed it up for chores around the house and farm, as well as local parades, and it is perfect for either.
It had been a year or two since it had ran, but it fired right up with some fresh gas. It runs great, idles smooth, no bad noises, smoke, etc.. The gauges and lights work (most of them) even the horn works! It shifts through all gears fine. It also has a hydraulic dump bed and it works great also. This truck actually came equipped with power brakes! This would have been pretty rare in 1947. You can see the booster under the driver door in pictures. It even works, but the master cylinder for the brakes was dry, and we added some fluid and tried to pump them up, they stop on about the third pump, but they will need some work. They may just need to be bled, or could need a master cylinder.
To me, the best part of these trucks was the grill. They were still the pre-war design, and very beautiful. This one is in great shape, and only missing a few little strips, which are easy to find here on E-Bay. The truck also comes with a clean Kansas title. Keep in mind that this truck is 70+ years old, so there are going to be little things here and there, but it's overall in extremely nice shape.
