1969 International Harvester Scout Description:

Hello, up for sale is my 1969 international scout 800 this scout is an original v8 scout. I have been working on this scout for a little over 4 years on my spare time, I don't really need to sell it but I would like to start another project . The scout was being built primarily for off roading so even though the body looks OK it's by no means a show truck, the paint is just rustoleum night tide spray paint that I did myself at home and is faded in some spots.
The interior was bed-lined with rustoleum roll on bed-liner. It has new racing seats installed with 4 point harness.
It has a 392 improved cooling v8 out of a 1974 travelall with a 727 automatic transmission and dana 20 transfer case. I have done the SOA (spring over axle) and reverse shackle modification with full width dana 44 with disc brakes in the front and a Chevy 12 bolt with drum brakes in the rear, both out of a 1976 Chevy k5 blazer. The front and rear drive shafts are new custom made by Curtis Tatton drive shafts. I put a new scout II aluminum radiator in to help cool the bigger engine. The scout has a new wiring harness installe, Dakota Digital Gauge Panel Series III, Mallory distributor, a newer Optima 8014-045 YellowTop battery and hold down box, newer CB radio and firestik antenna (antenna needs to be re-installed), 35X12.50-15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar Mud tires new (less than 500 miles on them) with new black steel rims. I put power steering on as well as hysteer crossover steering(A different oil pan will be included to clear the tie rod better), power brakes, efi tech fuel injection, 20 gal fuel cell, and a bunch more that I can't even remember right now. The scout runs and drives, but does have some leaks. The axles should be re-geared (still stock 3.07 gears). This scout is by no means perfect but is a really good truck with a lot of work done just needs fine tuning, that being said keep in mind that this scout is almost 50 years old and even with all the work already done, I would still considered this more of a weekend driver/cruiser then a daily driver, however, with a few small things done like fuel sender calibrated, window cranks adjusted etc, it could be made into a decent daily driver. Update 1/7/18 lizard skin heat insulation done on front floor and firewall. As of now the passenger side headlight is not working but I'll try to address it this weekend.I encourageyou to come look at the scout before bidding so you know exactlywhat you are bidding on.
