1972 Honda Other Description:

The two-door Honda Z600 was a Kei Car designed and built by Honda sold from 1970 to 1972, before the introduction of the Civic in 1973. Marketed as the "sport coupe" version of the N600 "sedan", the two models were sold side by side at American motorcycle dealerships until the first standalone dealers opened with the Civic on their lots. Total production was 40,586 units. The Z600 has power brakes, 4 wheel independent suspension and rack and pinion steering. It was very advanced for its time.
This is a fantastic example of a Z600, and I love driving it, butit is not concourse. There are a few small items that you can be doing to get you there while you drive it. It runs drives and is registered through November 2018. It has a new windshield, rust repair with new metal (common location right above the rear shackles), new paint, the rare factory racing stripe, new brakes (also the master cylinder sleeved by "KARPS brake power" a great company in California - They did my Subaru 360 bakes too),the engine was gone through and checked, all lights work, and brand new tires (stickers still on them)!It is super fun and gets tons of positive attention (especially with the current license plate).
The small things it still needs: The window felt channels are tired, the seats have seat covers on them, but underneath, yeah, torn original vinyl. The seat covers work great and even say "Honda" on them (Seat skins are available from Bill Colford), the radio does not work, but I think is repairable, the steering wheel is cracked with age (currently covered with a memory foam steering wheel cover), the cigarette lighter pushy in thing was broken, so I replaced it with a USB power outlet, the hood metal cracked by the hood stay. It was poorly repaired prior to me getting it. My body guy didn't want to adversely affect the hood more, so he left the poor repair in place and worked around it. It is only visible under the hood, the top of the hood is fine, thespare tire is original(it looks cool as a historical artifact, but it is a 44 year old tire), and when the windshield was replaced, some of the windshield gasket was torn in a couple of places.
The Honda Z600 and N600 support is very good, most parts are easy to find!
