WeLoveCoolCars.com 1976 Bandit Ava

1976 Honda Bandit 9 AVA
Bandit 9 Ava ~ #1 of 9 ~ The Prototype
My bike is number 1 of 9. It was the prototype. I already owned two of Daryl’s bikes when he first conceived the Ava and I funded the first build of this radical machine. I have documentation and correspondence with Daryl attesting to that fact and to this bike’s provenance. I will provide this to the lucky new owner. It’s an amazing bike, truly stunning in person and just like the Eve, what you can’t see in the pics is the super cool hand-finished quality.... the hammer marks and blood and sweat poured into this beautiful work of art.
The donor is a Honda 125cc. Imported with an original serial number CD50-2112632 stamped into the frame (I believe this is from a 50cc bike). So it shouldn't be difficult to obtain a title and registration. I've gone through that process and titled two of these bikes myself.

I selected "SALVAGE TITLE" to get your attention...
due to time constraints, this bike is being sold on a bill of sale only.
I will also provide you with import paperork,
but again BILL OF SALE ONLY!!!

The Ava is one of a very few beautifully designed and handcrafted bikes from Bandit 9 Motorcycles and is part of their operation in Saigon. Anyone who’s ever been to Vietnam, or pretty much anywhere else in South East Asia, will immediately understand the importance of the motorcycle to the local residents. In equatorial east Asia motorbikes aren’t weekend rocketships designed for fun, they’re essential tools used by entire families for all of their transportation needs. This difference in perception has led to a relatively small number of custom motorcycle garages popping up in the region, which is something Bandit 9 want to change – their goal is to take the smaller-engined bikes of the Asian urban areas and turn them into world class customs that defy common genres – then sell them at affordable prices.
AVA is based on a 1976 Honda 125. These Hondas are very common on the streets of cities like Saigon and Hanoi, making them an ideal starting point for a new line of customs. Each model is built by hand and fitted with classical instruments and a hand-formed chrome unibody will give the bike an almost steampunk appeal.
Only 9 AVA's were built in total... this is by design. The majority of Daryl Vilanueva's bikes are limited to a production total of just 9. I believe these bikes are destined to improve their value with age, like a wonderful piece of art. It's why I own several Bandit's and have supported his work.
