1974 Honda CB Description:

For sale is my 1974 Honda CB 750 K4. I purchased this bike non running about a year ago and did a full top end rebuild last winter. The cylinders are over board 0.5mm and it has all new pistons, rings, gaskets, and stainless engine hardware. I also replaced all valve seals, one valve guide, which was broken, and two bent valves. It was clear this bike had a botched rebuild in its past, but I worked hard to correct all of the issues of it's previous ownership. This bike has not been modified into a cafe racer or bobber in any way.

The rear tire is a Dunlop K70 which has about 40% of its tread left, the front is an Avon which is just about used up. Included with this sale is a brand new Dunlop K70 front tire. I re-laced the rear wheel during the rebuild with brand new spokes. I have a full spoke set for the front wheel as well, but I never got around to re-lacing it.
This bike has new sunstar sprockets and a new D.I.D. chain. The chain guard is also included, but not reinstalled at the time the photos were taken. The guard is currently on the bike.
The seat cover is a reproduction that I installed during the rebuild, and it does not have any rips or tears.
The transmission is a bit clunky, but all gears operate without issue. Sometimes you may get a false neutral between gears, but if you shift with purpose it is largely avoided.
The engine starts easily and idles at a stable 1100rpm. It pulls smoothly through the full rpm range without and hesitation or sputtering.
The carburetors have new stock size main jets and float needles.
As far as known issues go, this bike needs the left fork seal and boot replaced, and it tends to drip gas if you leave the fuel tap on overnight. There is a bit of pitting in the chrome, and there are a few small dents in the tank and the rear fender.
The bike is pictured with a lithium battery but it has since failed. I installed a used, but healthy standard lead acid battery, which will b included with the bike.
Comes with a spare gas tank (painted flat black), the center stand and hardware, and a box of other miscellaneous parts like extra turn signals, carb jets, and random hardware.
This bike has been my daily rider for the better part of a year, and will continue to be until it's sale, so while it has around 22,700 miles on the odometer now, that may increase a bit. While this is no show bike, it is a great rider, and a good candidate for a proper restoration if you decided to go that route.
Comes with a cool genuine Hondaline rear luggage rack, which has some rust. Also comes with a set of 4 into 2 straight pipes, which also have some rust.
I am selling the CB750 because I moved to a small city recently and it is a bit too heavy for me for urban riding. I need to free up space in my garage for a smaller bike.
Thank you very much for looking. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
