1953 GMC 5-WINDOW PICKUPVIN: 10222P62639DESCRIPTION:This NO RESERVE auction is for a beautifully restored 1953 GMC 5-Window long bed pickup truck with the VERY rare feature of an original 4 speed HYDRA-MATIC transmission. The all steel body, including the running boards, is finished in a brilliant two tone paint job that looks much better in person than it does in our pictures. It is absolutely flawless and has been highlighted by professional pin-striping details.The truck boasts many new improvements which include but are not limited to: power bucket seats (driver's is active), relocated fuel cell (18 gal.), 2 spd. heater, 2 spd. wipers, LED taillights, Hella H-4 headlights, AM/FM Retrosound radio and a total 12 volt conversion all connected with a brand new wiring harness. The ignition system is also electronic.The extensively precision project also added a complete rebuild of the engine adapted for modern fuel, HYDRA-MATIC transmission, rear end differential (fitted with a 3:55 gear ratio), steering column, radiator, dual brake master cylinder and a stainless steel exhaust system. The attractive FIRESTONE white wall tube tires are fitted to the original rims.We should also mention the brand new springs, shackles, shock absorbers and rebuilt front end all fitted to the finely detailed under carriage. The bed floor is done in oak trimmed with all stainless steel hardware and finished in marine Water Lox. The original truck came with optional keyed door locks and remote oil filter.We are sure to have overlooked a number of items, but you can rest assured they have probably been done. The truck starts and runs with no evidence of noises, leaks, smoke or other gremlins. An optional side mount (not shown) for the spare tire will be included. The truck also passed New York State's rigorous inspection for safety so it is ready to safely drive away and enjoy. The truck is rated 1/2 ton and we have the original bench seat if you need it. It would
need to be completely reconditioned.
