1944 GMC DUKW Description:

Up for auction is this 1944 DMC DUKW amphibious 6X6 2 1/2 ton truck. It has most of its components for restoration. Comes with manuals. Ran and drove when stored 10 years ago so motor is operable. Needs break work. It is missing its front surf board, data plate panel, .50 caliber gun mount ring, tire pressure spiders (for inflating and deflating the tires remotely) and its marine grade plywood floor panels. It has a hole in the rear right side where is was backed into something sharp that will need to be patched or cut out an a new piece of sheet metal welded in. It was surplussed from the Barstow Marine Logistics Base and has never been registered but can be easily (in California they require it to be registered as both a truck and a vessel).
