1956 GMC Other Deluxe Description:

1956 GMC Pannel Deluxe. 292 I-6 4 speed granny factory in the floor. This truck was originally owned by a local funeral home. A true grave digger. Truly a rare find, I’ve only seen a few on the internet and have never seen another one in person. I used it as my full time plumbing truck for my plumbing business. Simply the best business decision I ever made. I was known as the sexy plumber. Hahahahaha. If they didn’t know me they definitely knew the truck. This thing has pulled everything I put behind it. Skid steer with attachments, tractors, it’s extremely heavy duty. In saying this it is low geared so it doesn’t like the interstate. I have driven it from upstate SC to Charleston, Atlanta, near Charlotte and up into the mountains of North Carolina. All on back roads. It doesn’t get you there fast but it gets you there. I have 5 original wheels. There are two in the picture on the front with new tires on them. The rest the tires are completely wore out. Coker tire has the tires and tubes for these rims. It really looked good with the snow mud tires that I had on it at one time. The vent glass on the passenger side finally fell out and the driver side needs replaced. The window regulator on the driver side quit but it’s probably just a bolt or something loose because you can push the window up and down by hand. Gas gauge quit, I’m not sure if it’s the sending unit or the gauge. Gauges are on eBay a lot of the time, I know because I was going to get all of them new just to dress it up. Most issues are what you’re going to find on anything this old. I am self employed with five kids so I don’t have time to fix things like I once did so I’m going to sell it like it is. A lot of people have told me what they would do with it but my plan was to leave it original and not ruin a good truck. The only reason for selling it is that we are going to be traveling until we figure out where we want to land, probably out west somewhere.
