1930 Ford Model A Sport Coupe Description:

This Sport Coupe, Type 50-B, is for many the most desirable of all the Model A coupes. With their signature non-folding padded tops and decorative Landau irons, these cars are generally considered sportier and fancier than all other coupes. They have the outward appearance of a cabriolet but with the cozy comforts of a coupe. Front and back windows open, but the top doesn't fold down. All of these coupes have the sporty rumble seat.
This car was recently given a full body off restoration. It is finished in Chicle Drab tan with Copra Drab blue accents. The pin striping and spoked wheels, both in Straw yellow, help give the coupe a fresh and exciting look.
The restoration is high quality. The entire undercarriage was stripped and repainted. All rubber and wood was replaced. very component received some attention, and most were either rebuilt or replaced with new. The interior and tan whipcord top have been completely redone. Wheels are from a 1935 Model B and have new chrome rings and new Firestone Silvertown white wall tires. Other renewed parts include brakes, shocks, muffler and battery.
There are several accessories that add to the coupe's attraction. On the outside are a radiator grille, quail radiator cap with thermostat, chrome horn, Halogen headlight bulbs, fog lights, dual cowl lights, dual rear view mirrors, dual rear taillights and deluxe bumper trim.
Inside and under the hood this coupe has been enhanced as well. The engine is a 1935 Model B with a period correct Miller high performance overhead valve cylinder head. To complete the high performance package is a Mallory ignition system,a new Weber downdraft carburetor with an aluminum intake manifold, exhaust header and, in the back, a high speed rear end gear ratio. This very special power plant also has some appearance enhancements including chrome trim and a finned aluminum side cover.
