In the case of the Ford Thunderbird, it doesn't get much better than the first generation. Between 1955 and 1957 the Thunderbird was a small 2 seat roadster which was comparable to the Chevrolet Corvette. These cars could be had with a 292 CI V8, or an optional 312 CI V8. This particular example has the larger 312 as well as an automatic transmission. This one also has plenty of options: power steering, power brakes, power seat, power windows, and even air conditioning. The car has a stunning red exterior and an optional removable hard top in white. This one has a continental kit on the rear to house the spare tire. It sits on steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and sports white wall tires. The interior has black and red upholstery which complements the exterior. The engine compartment is nicely finished and could easily be displayed at a car cruise. This restored classic is the perfect for summertime cruises and weekend getaways.
