1973 Ford F-250 Ranger 4x4 “Highboy”. This is the first year of the body style known as the “dentside”.
The odometer reads 74,925 miles which is believed to be actual mileage evident by by title (not exceeding mechanical limits) and the overall great condition of the truck. All original drivetrain in place including the optioned front dana 6CF closed knuckle front axle, right down to the original rebuilt carb holding its factory tag. The 360 runs strong and does not smoke. New cap, wires, plugs and rotor installed. Newer battery (May 2023). The new process 4 spd manual transmission shifts as it should and the clutch feels good. I will note the the exhaust manifold on the driver’s side does have a slight leak. This Highboy drives and stops just as it should. The sequoia brown and durango tan paint appear to be in very original with great patina, and shows with minimal damage (dings/scratches). Only the cowl was repainted by the previous owner years ago. The interior is is great condition with a newer carpet and recently upholstered seat. The dash is in very good condition with minor cracks. The door and window seals are in great condition for the age of this truck. All gauges are operational. This rig has two auxiliary fuel tanks which are no longer in use. Only the tank behind the seat is currently being utilized. This is an air conditioned cab, but it needs servicing and it’s all in place. The interior of the bed shows minimal wear in regards to dents/dings and has been recently bed lined. Wheels and tires have been updated. This truck has no rot, frame is solid, door bottoms are amazing along with cab corners and all the other know Ford problem areas. This truck did spend all of its life in dry California until it went in my garage here in New Jersey. Lastly, I have the Marti report. It shows this truck being 1 of 39 ever built in this specific configuration, optioned with both the convenience and protection group. Included in the sale is the original owners manual and warranty card. I can provide a cold start and walk around video upon request.
